Muchai

Since last Saturday, we've all been drinking and talking about a new coffee at Market Lane. This one comes from a washing station in Kenya called Muchai, which is located near Thika, just a little north of Nairobi.

The flavour of this coffee makes it stand out on our filter coffee menu - it's extremely floral and sweet, with a vibrant & mouth filling acidity that makes the flavour last for ages. Without labouring the point too much - we think it's delicious and we reckon you will too.

We're super excited about this coffee for a couple of reasons; not only is it an excellent coffee in its own right, but it's also first of a new season of coffees for us. The new season is an exciting one, we're starting to see coffees from Rwanda, El Salvador, Guatemala and Ethiopia land in Melbourne. A lot of these freshly harvested coffees are from farms that we've bought from (and loved) in the past. In addition to our old favourites, there are also a couple of new coffees that we're very proud to present to you. We're pretty much always excited about offering new coffees at Market Lane, but this time we may be a little more excited than usual.

Please ask for a little taste next time you come past the Prahran Market or our Therry Street shop, we're always happy to oblige!
