The skinny on low fat.

In striving to make our coffee beverages as delicious as possible, we have had to let go of an old cafe staple: the skinny milk. As we've mentioned before, we searched high and low for the perfect milk to complement our coffee and we're so happy to be using Schulz Milk. It is a natural organic farmhouse milk, which is unhomogenised (meaning it's easier to digest than more processed milks), and it is super sweet and delicious in our drinks.

We did not have such luck with low fat milks, however. Every time we tested them in our beverages, we found they adversely affected the flavour, body and sweetness of the drink. We know that people like their skinny lattes, and we tried - we really tried! - to make it work. But ultimately we aim to serve the best quality coffee we can - and skinny milk cannot stand up to the test.

If you're usually a skinny drinker, do not despair. Come down to the cafe and try one of our single estate coffees, from the Clover or as a pour over. They are all tasting delicious and work beautifully without milk.

I clap my hands very hard to this! You guys are truly doing it for the coffee, for what's in the cup and for this I must say I am greatly impressed.

I wonder what CD's skinny milk would own? Perhaps 'Skinny Love' by Bon Iver?

Yay! I hope more establishments follow your lead and move the industry at large away from inferior light drinks.....wish I could convince my boss to let me do it with my drinks! Maybe one day :)
